Hong Kong singer Leo Ku has launched three initiatives as part of his “New Musician Programme” to provide emerging musicians with opportunities to amplify their voices.
The “New Musician Programme” is a collaboration between Ku and his wife's YouTube channel, ChillGOOD TV, featuring the flagship music show “Music Panda” and his own project, “I Really Love To Sing.” It aims to provide new talents with opportunities to showcase their work, give back to society through music, and bridge the gap between aspiring musicians, songwriters, and record labels.
The initiative targets emerging musicians, local music fans, and individuals who enjoy live busking performances or wish to enter the local music scene.
The three initiatives are “Blind Listening to Voices” (盲聽的歌聲), “Music Panda Busking”, and “SONGS GARDEN by Music Panda”. "Blind Listening to Voices" is designed for those who may feel intimidated in traditional talent shows, allowing judges and audiences to focus solely on the participants' voices. Additionally, participants will also have the opportunity to perform on “Music Panda” and receive personal song production from Ku. Another key initiative, SONGS GARDEN by Music Panda, will help aspiring songwriters connect with singers and record labels.

The initiative is promoted through Ku and ChillGOOD TV’s Instagram pages, press releases to enhance visibility in traditional and digital media, live events such as busking tours and performances on "Music Panda," and word of mouth from fans on social media. These efforts are managed by the local PR agency The Bridge Agency.
While the initiative was firstly announced by Ku on his Instagram, this has created buzz among netizens. His Instagram post has received over 15,000 likes and 80 comments so far, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE confirmed. While some said they are looking forward to the initiative, some praised ChillGOOD TV and Ku for their support of local musicians.

The initiative will open for registration on 6 June , coinciding with the anniversary of Ku’s debut single, "Love’s Explanation" (愛的解釋).
"Most talent shows require participants to showcase their appearances, which can be intimidating for some. That’s why 'Blind Listening to Voices' is designed for those who love to sing but lack confidence in their appearance. By removing external distractions, we aim to find the 'Best Voice' that resonates with pure emotion," Ku said.
"My family and I love exploring the West Kowloon area, where we often see talented buskers performing amazing music. That’s why I decided to lead this initiative-to ensure local buskers no longer have to 'fight alone.' I’ll lead busking tours and collaborate with amateur performers to bring their music to a wider audience," he added.
