HK Express partners with Expedia to launch travel booking platform
share on
HK Express Airways (HK Express) has partnered with online travel agency Expedia to lauch a one-stop travel booking platform, aiming to assist travellers in saving both time and money by providing combined flight and accommodation packages.
Known as “HK Express Holidays”, the platform aggregates approximately 900,000 accommodation options from Expedia's network, enabling potential savings of up to HK$1,500 for travellers when booking flights and accommodation together, according to the release. The initial phase covers Hong Kong, Japan, and Mainland China markets.
Within the platform, users can plan their trips by combining flight and accommodation options tailored to their preferences. The platform is designed to be flexible, allowing customers who have already purchased tickets, including special sale fares, to add accommodation to their existing booking. This makes it a straightforward process for finalising travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, the app also enables travellers to book activities at their destination, allowing them to create their entire itinerary in one go without needing to calculate every single deal.
Further details are available on HK Express’s official website and mobile app.
Jeanette Mao, CEO at HK Express said: "HK Express has always strived to enhance our customers’ experiences. From the booking process to inflight services, we continuously optimise to provide passengers with more seamless travel experiences. We also actively cooperate with different partners to provide passengers with more flexible and innovative travel options."
Mao added: "Our data tells us that most HK Express customers book flights directly through our official website or mobile app. As such, to further improve convenience, we have partnered with Expedia Group to launch “Fly + Stay” packages, leveraging our combined strengths to offer travellers more value-packed vacation options. Whether for weekend getaways or family vacations, HK Express Holidays is designed to meet your diverse travel needs. Looking ahead, we will gradually expand services to more Asian destinations, enabling travellers to easily explore and ‘Gotta Go’ their way!"
“We’re thrilled to partner with HK Express to launch HK Express Holidays, combining our extensive travel inventory from our White Label Template product with their affordable flight network to create seamless, value-driven vacation experiences,” said Carolina Cabero, SVP private label solutions at Expedia Group. “This collaboration empowers travellers to plan their perfect getaway with ease whether it’s a quick weekend escape or a longer adventure.”
