Hong Kong-based blockchain and security solutions provider UD will launch a campaign in collaboration with Arts For Good Foundation, hoping to provide new perspectives on the way youths see art and technology.

The campaign will run from 22 to 30 December. Arts For Good Foundation will host a series of experimental art workshops where students’ collaborative artworks will be minted into NFTs on NFT marketplace OpenSea, supported by UD professional team. The campaign also hopes to create impact and new values in the blockchain world.

“As technology continues to transform the way we live, we take pride in being the leader that continually introduces innovative technology applied to our clients, partners; and to foster interests in and understanding of technology in the local community. Through this unique initiative, we hope to inspire youngsters to think about what blockchain technology and art could intersect and create impact in the world,” said Eric Fan, CEO of UD.

With the rise of blockchain technology, artists from across the globe have started leveraging NFTs to create and promote art. UD believes that NFT is an innovative breakthrough and a game-changer. The incorporation of art and technology might be the future for the art industry.

Fan added, "We believe blockchain will be the trend in the coming years. Thanks to NFT art, it helps people make the first step to enter the blockchain world. NFT art is only the beginning, people are encouraged to keep exploring the boundless possibilities that innovative blockchain technology brought to our lives."

Amanda Sun, founder of Arts For Good Foundation, explained, "The creative process will emphasise on our individual feelings, as well as solidarity, respect, and collaboration among them. By incorporating with technology, we are giving them a new perspective of understanding what art and technology could be created to make an impact in the blockchain world."

She added, “We are thankful for the opportunity of developing our students' works to NFT. We aim to promote a diverse and inclusive community in Hong Kong on the new platform. The collection of artworks is meant to reflect the individual and collective aspect of our future society."
