HK-based digital agency DigiSalad taps into SG market as part of APAC expansion

Hong Kong-based digital agency DigiSalad is tapping into new markets including Singapore as part of its APAC expansion.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Tony Ng, founder and creative director, DigiSalad said this expansion is a strategic move to broaden the agency’s horizons and bring its innovative digital solutions to a wider audience.

“We aim to meet the evolving needs of businesses across different industries, just as we have been doing in Hong Kong, Taipei, and London,” he added. 
 
He said that the agency is in the process of setting up its office in Singapore and it looks to operate fully by the fourth quarter of this year. Singapore will be a base for DigiSalad to reach other APAC countries in the future.

“Our initial focus will be on building strong relationships with local businesses, understanding their unique needs, and providing them with tailored digital solutions[...] We target to start a new team in Singapore with the team size of around 20 staff in 2024,” he said. Ng will be leading the new team in Singapore. 

When asked whether DigiSalad is pitching for local clients in Singapore, Ng said the agency is happy to join the pitching for local clients. "Normally we are starting with researching the pain point of the end users, and provide the ideas how to make the user journey have a much better customer experience. It may involve applying the new technologies, such as AI and machine learning, not to mention the brand new UX & UI design that aligns with the latest trend," he added.

In terms of other APAC regions, the agency is currently working with Banyan Tree in Thailand, and Keppel Land in Vietnam. Ng said this is a vital step to ensure that DigiSalad enters markets where its services can add the most value.

Apart from the APAC regions, the agency is also expanding its business globally, starting with the UK market in the upcoming year. The expansion is a strategic move for DigiSalad to provide quality services to a broader range of customers and establish itself as a global player in the digital industry. This move also benefits local clients in Hong Kong, bringing new perspectives, technology and innovative ideas to clients' projects.

DigiSalad is specialised in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Since its establishment in 2016, DigiSalad has helped over 100 brands succeed with innovative ideas and exceptional customer loyalty strategies. In the Hong Kong office, it has over 40 staff including UX & UI designers, technical developers, business analysts and project managers.
