Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has appointed Justin Then (pictured) as managing director, reporting to John Morgan, president and CEO, Hill+Knowlton Strategies Asia.
Then takes over from former deputy managing director Jamie Morse, who recently took on the managing director role for Singapore office.
Meanwhile, former managing director for Malaysia, Julia Ahmad, who led the KL operation for 17 years, will remain as senior advisor.
Morgan said, "I'm confident his appointment will help us further our ‘Fifth Seat' vision in which we believe when faced with significant decisions, companies turn to lawyers, bankers, management consultants and accountants for advice. Our role is to fill a fifth seat, as the strategic counselor on issues at the intersection of our clients' business and the public."
Then brings to H+K more than 20 years of experience in public relations and as a journalist. An industry veteran in media, corporate communications, issues and crisis management, and stakeholder relations, he previously worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies from 2005 and 2008.
During this time, he led the Hewlett-Packard, Yahoo and Cisco accounts in addition to being a facilitator for issues management and media trainings. He most recently managed his boutique PR firm.
Before that, he led the technology practice at Priority Communications, where he provided high-level strategic counsel to a diverse range of clients including some of the world's best known brands.
