History's Mankind: The Story of All of Us, premiering on 14 November on Astro channel 555, has secured Standard Chartered Bank as its regional presenting sponsor in Southeast Asia.
The six-part series, which took two years to produce, is narrated by actor Josh Brolin, while locally, Malaysian actor and host of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Jalaludin Hassan narrates the Malay language version.
The network has embarked on an aggressive advertising and promotional campaign across a variety of media of which Standard Chartered Bank will be a part.
Charles Less, head of advertising sales at AETN All Asia Networks said, "Mankind is the biggest thing we will air this year and it will deliver the audience Standard Chartered Bank is looking to capture."
Claire Fedder, group head of brand at Standard Chartered Bank, said, "Mankind provides a relevant and compelling educational platform illustrating how all humans, from the first civilisations to today, are linked."
Mankind will be the first television series in a generation to look at the history of the human race through the ages using CGI technology and integration of different sciences.
