HGC strengthens digital capabilities with 2 management appointments

HGC Global Communications (HGC) has appointed Daniel Ng (pictured right) as senior vice president of corporate business. In his new position, Ng will spearhead the growth of the company's corporate business unit, taking responsibility for its strategic direction and overseeing day-to-day operations. He will also enrich HGC’s relationships with business customers and uplift their digital capabilities to connect them with business opportunities around the world. 

Ng has held various senior management positions in the fields of technical pre-sales, mobile sales and corporate sales before. With a singular focus on serving large enterprises, Ng will lead his team in the provision of integrated telecom, data centre and ICT solutions and services to meet evolving needs.

“As a veteran in the ICT industry, I am delighted to have the opportunity to join the HGC management team. With HGC’s sophisticated corporate services built on clear strategies and exceptional digital capabilities, as well as a substantial and extensive network infrastructure, I look forward to working closely with the talented HGC team to create further value for our customers and stakeholders," he said.

Previously, HGC has also appointed Cliff Tam (pictured left) as senior vice president of global data strategy and operations, international business. In this position, he is responsible for expanding the group’s global presence and services to deepen its partnerships with digital content, service and infrastructure providers around the world and help them reach new frontiers.

He will also develop and implement strategies to maintain HGC’s position as a partner of OTT service providers, internet and content companies, digital media providers, and cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies worldwide. Specific focus areas for Tam include the ongoing development of an OTT partner ecosystem across emerging niche markets in Asia, as well as the further expansion of edge infrastructure in Southeast Asia with the rollout of HGC’s Eyeball-as-a-Service platform and the growth of Singapore as a major regional hub.
