Havas Worldwide names new Southeast Asia CEO

Havas Worldwide has appointed Levent Guenes (pictured) as CEO Southeast Asia. The agency's Singapore operation was previously headed by Dan Gibson who relocated to Havas Worldwide's London office. 

Guenes was promoted from his chief operating officer role which he held since June 2014.

As CEO, he is tasked to lead the group's agencies across nine markets in Southeast Asia.

According to his LinkedIn, he is now responsible for the “continuation of the new agency vision with a fully integrated and collaborative approach domestically and in the region, sharing resources locally and across borders, while overcoming profit and loss (P&L) limitations.”

Guenes has over 15 years of experience in finance-related roles. He took on the role of CFO Havas Worldwide Southeast Asia, South Korea & Japan in 2011 before being promoted to COO in 2014.  In 2009, he served as regional financial controller APAC as well as CFO of South Korea & Japan, based in Havas' Hong Kong office. He first joined Havas Worldwide Germany in 2002 as director of finance & operations, executive director.
