India – Local air conditioner brand Voltas has awarded its media planning and buying responsibilities to Havas Media.
The appointment followed a multi-agency pitch which included GroupM, Madison, Aegis and IPG.
Havas Media will be tasked to manage its media buying and planning activities for its Room AC and other Unitary Products business.
The contract budget is US$10 million (SG$12.2 million).
"We were impressed by their capability to look beyond seasonality and traditional media. Their understanding of the category from a regional perspective was also very accurate," Pradeep Bakshi, chief operating officer of Voltas, said.
