Havas Media Singapore has promoted Louise Koh from the role of executive director to general manager. Koh (pictured) will be reporting to Russell Lai, the chief commercial officer at Havas Media Group Singapore who was promoted to the position last year.
Koh, who was previously an account director at UM, joined Havas Media three and a half years ago in 2019 as its executive director. She was responsible for managing some of the agency’s key clients and is credited with leading key account relationships such as Cycle & Carriage and Hermes among others.
When MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reachout for a comment, Havas Media stated that the role will be a local one and that Lai previously held this role from 2018 to 2020.
“I'm fortunate to be part of an amazing team at Havas Media and thrilled for this opportunity to contribute my experience and expertise towards this new role. Working together with our colleagues, clients and partners, I look forward to delivering meaningful media experiences that will make a real impact. 2022 was an incredible year of growth and development for the agency and we will look to keep the ball rolling into 2023,” said Koh about her new role.
“This a well-deserved promotion for [Koh]. She has played a pivotal role in Havas Media Singapore’s growth story by not only anchoring some our key client relationships but also scoring major award wins in the last few years. Her understanding of the market, ability to provide high-quality solutions to clients combined with her tenacity and diligence has been a great asset to the agency,” added Lai.
The news comes shortly after it was announced that sporting goods retailer Decathlon handed its media mandate for the Singapore market to Havas Media. The account was won after a pitch and the scope of work includes integrated media planning and buying duties across traditional and digital channels.
