Havas global CEO Andrew Benett steps down

Andrew Benett, global CEO of Havas Creative Group and Havas Worldwide, will be stepping down from his role. Yannick Bolloré will take on the role of global CEO of Havas Creative Group, in addition to his current role as chairman and CEO of Havas Group.In a press statement confirming the move, Havas Group added that the move follows the implementation of a strong leadership team and new regional organisational structure. The leadership changes are effective immediately.Benett first joined Havas Worldwide as global chief strategy officer in 2004, when it was then known as Euro RSCG Worldwide. Since then, he ran the flagship New York office, the Arnold global micro network, and was appointed global CEO of Havas Creative Group and Havas Worldwide in January 2014.He also held the role of chief strategy officer for Havas Creative Group. According to the agency, the creative group went through huge growth and transformation under his leadership.“I'm thankful to Havas and to all the people that I've been fortunate enough to work with. I believe the truly integrated model that we have built together is poised for tremendous success. Having now implemented a strong leadership team and new regional organisational structure, Havas is ready for a new chapter and I'm extremely proud of our results. Bolloré is a great leader and I'm confident that he will continue to break new ground in leading the group,” Benett (picture) said.“It’s a very exciting time for Havas. We are well on our way to realising our goal of being the most integrated and innovative communications group of our industry. I would like to thank Benett for the fantastic job he has done in implementing our ‘Together’ strategy and building the organisation to what it is today, as well as the impact he has made throughout Havas over the last 13 years.
