Restaurant and bar chain Harry’s owner Mohan Mulani has set up a new company Cosmo Media and Communications to publish the magazine New Global Indian for the ASEAN region and Hong Kong.
Harry’s Holdings executive chairman Mohan Mulani, in this new private venture has partnered with Ujjwal Chowdhury, founder of New Global Indian to launch the magazine targeting Indian business professionals.
The publication aims to be a platform for information sharing and networking across the globe and will contain articles on lifestyle and business.
Mulani told Marketing that 30% of the content for the magazine would come from around the region, while 70% would be global. Editor Kamla Rupani will head the publication.
The title focuses advertisers across a wide array of industries from financial institutions to lifestyle brands. Those who have already come on board include Carlsberg, Compass hospitality management and Indian tourism authority to name a few.
The magazine, which is looking to be launched this month, is expected to hit an initial run of 25,000 copies and has plans to be audited in the future. It is initially launching as a bi-monthly magazine and expected to become a monthly by January 2014.
The New Global Indian is already published in India, the Middle East and South Africa.
