Harbour City Estates, Dentsu win top spots at the Marketing Events Awards 2014 [GALLERY]

Harbour City Estates and Dentsu Singapore took home the “blue ribbon” prizes at the Marketing Events Awards 2014, which was held on 10 October 2014 at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove and organised by Marketing magazine. Both organisations clinched the Event Marketer of the Year 2013 - Brand and the Event Marketer of the Year - Agency accolades respectively for their stellar efforts in event marketing. Judging the entries were 12 client- and agency-side senior event marketers, industry experts, and creative personnel.

As overall brand winner, Harbour City Estates won three Gold (for Best Event Ambience-Consumer, Best Exhibition Event, and Best Use of Malls/Shopping Centres) and two Silver (Best Event for the Press/Media, and Best Use of Social Media) awards. The organisation clinched these accolades for various initiatives such as The Amazing Power @ Harbour City, Christmas Lighting Ceremony @ Harbour City, and Snoopy Art & Life Exhibition @ Harbour City campaigns.

On the agency front, the crew from Dentsu was all smiles as they experienced joy in the form of three Gold awards (Best B2B Event, Best Consistency in Branding, and Best Digital Integration - B2B) and one Silver (Best Event for a Targeted Community) award. The Golds came courtesy of the agency’s commendable work on the Canon Think Big campaign, and the Silver was the result of work done for the selfsame client in the form of the Canon EOS World initiative.

Other creative and event marketing agencies that put on a strong showing at the Awards included Imagination (one Gold, two Silver and two Bronze awards), Auditoire (one Gold and two Silver awards), and Jack Morton Worldwide (one Gold and two Bronze awards).

Now into its third edition, the Marketing Events Awards honours the very best in Asia’s event marketing, management, and planning industry. It is the key regional event for event marketers and planners, recognising creative excellence, strategic marketing, and operational precision. This year’s event witnessed the attendance of over 300 guests, with over 45 brands and agencies in the house to see who would clinch the glory in 26 categories.

The Marketing Events Awards 2014 was sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organisation (Singapore) and ThoughtBuzz, and supported by partners such as Cornerstone Wines, Freeflow Productions, Kronenbourg, Lanyon, Live!Studios and W Singapore – Sentosa Cove.
