Groupon Malaysia has appointed XPR as its agency on record with the public relations company handling all of the company's media engagement activities.
XPR's task includes demonstrating the benefits of group buying which will encompass customer and merchant experiences as well as community engagement activities.
Joel Neoh, chief executive officer of Groupon Malaysia said the appointment of XPR came at a critical phase of the company's growth.
Groupon is close to hitting the 1 million direct subscriber mark through its existing partnership with Maybank2u.com, which brings the total number of online customers with direct links to Groupon deals to nearly 3 million.
"The possibilities of group buying, be it for consumers, merchants and society as a whole continues to be tremendous and we at Groupon are eager to further demonstrate the power of Groupons, as a business and as a means of enjoying Amazing Life Experiences."
Neoh also added that the company's recent tie up with national brands has led it to be the first group buying platform to break into the local franchise market.
