GroupM's Wavemaker opens for business in China

Wavemaker, GroupM’s new global media, content and technology agency created from the merger of MEC and Maxus opens for business today in China.

Wavemaker China will open with 800 people across four offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing, and is led by CEO Gordon Domlija.

The agency services clients including Daimler, Meituan, Huawei, CHANEL, Pfizer and Danone.

Gordon Domlija, CEO of Wavemaker Greater China, said: “Today we have a new name, but our principles, approach and behaviour remain consistent. At the heart of our proposition is our determination to constantly challenge our clients, our industry and ourselves, and this has seen us grow rapidly through the business success of our clients over the last two years.”

Wavemaker officially opens today in markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
