GroupM has appointed Partha Kabi as managing director of GroupM Nexus. GroupM has confirmed the appointment.

GroupM Nexus unites GroupM’s addressable content and TV, AI technology (Copilot), and omnichannel solutions from Finecast, Xaxis, and GroupM Services into a single unit. The global organisation will be underpinned by a new cross-channel performance platform and international delivery hubs to set new benchmarks for performance innovation and efficiency for GroupM’s agencies and clients.

Globally, GroupM Nexus will comprise 9,000 practitioners around the world, collectively responsible for the activation of more than 2 million campaigns managed by GroupM each year.

In his last role, Kabi was tasked with the ownership of top client relationships for global clients and for local market clients. He was accountable for leading, facilitating, curating, and orchestrating the overall thought leadership quotient and global strategy on the SK-II business, working with the global client in evolving the capabilities to remain fit-for-purpose for the ever-evolving business context, as well as orchestrating the “best of MediaCom / WPP” solutions to address the top business priorities of the clients’ business across markets.

Kabi has more than 25 years of advertising, communications and media experience across India and Indonesia with multinational agency networks such as WPP, GroupM, IPG and Publicis, as seen on his LinkedIn.

He first joined MediaCom as its managing director in 2017 and was based in Indonesia. In his role, he was in charge of driving key initiatives and decisions at a group level for GroupM Indonesia, and led a team of 90 in the Motion Content Group in Indonesia. He also managed the country operations of Mediacom Indonesia, and was actively involved in content partnerships with key media vendors, said his profile.

Driving growth through new business and expanding portfolio of services with current clients, Kabi said he was able to achieve a significant business size of $260 million during his time as managing director of the Indonesia operations.
