Great Wall Motor Sales Malaysia hands PR remit to Zeno Group

Great Wall Motor Sales Malaysia (GWM) has handed its PR remit to global, integrated communications agency Zeno Group. With the appointment, Zeno will lead the development of PR-related activities and programmes with a focus on elevating GWM’s brand image, its market position and supporting its plans for expansion in Malaysia.

“As demonstrated by the successful launch of our latest EV, the ORA GOOD CAT, we are happy to work alongside Zeno to push through Malaysia’s market demands and consumer perception towards the EV car market,” said Daniel Lai, head of brand product and communication at GWM Malaysia.

In the upcoming year, Zeno will also be responsible for leading PR communications and tactics across GWM’s portfolio of brands. Headquartered in China, GWM is an automobile manufacturer of SUVs and pickup trucks that recently launched the ORA Good Cat in Malaysia.

“We are confident in Zeno’s ability to communicate the passion and enjoyment which the ORA GOOD CAT can provide to our customers across Malaysia,” Lai added.

“The addition of GWM to Zeno’s client portfolio is yet more validation for our data-driven creative communications approach,” said Amanda Leong, Zeno Malaysia’s managing director.

“We’re looking forward to telling GWM’s unique story in new and innovative ways that will appeal to Malaysia’s consumers and establish GWM as the country’s favorite brand in the EV space,” she continued.

Zeno Group’s competitive win for GWM Malaysia follows its recent appointment as the agency of record for Malacca Securities, a brokerage firm and participating organisation of Bursa Malaysia Securities.

According to Zeno, it will lead strategy across brand, creative and integrated communications, building upon Malacca Securities’ 60-year legacy.
