
Malacca Securities hands creative and comms remit to Zeno Group MY

Malacca Securities, a brokerage firm and participating organisation of Bursa Malaysia Securities, has appointed Zeno Group Malaysia as its agency of record. According to Zeno, it will lead strategy across brand, creative and integrated communications, building upon Malacca Securities’ 60-year legacy.

Lim Chia Wei, the managing director at Malacca securities, said in a statement that they have seen an increased interest in better financial management in Malaysia, particularly with the growing sophistication of financial products and services in the country. As Malaysia becomes a more digital-driven organisation, Malacca Securities wanted to refresh the brand, connect with technologically immersed consumers today and become more accessible to the public," she said.
He added that as an agency, Zeno came fully prepared. "They know their way around our business and understood our business objectives. It is the right agency that will help us narrate and share our story to the stakeholders,” said Lim.
“Zeno will be responsible in managing creative and communications across a whole suite of upcoming products currently in development by Malacca Securities,” she added.

In July last year, HSBC Malaysia and YTL Communications appointed Zeno Group Malaysia to manage integrated communications. Zeno’s remit for HSBC included a social strategy that complements its new brand promise, "Opening Up a World of Opportunity." Meanwhile for, YTL Communications, Zeno developed PR programmes to raise the profile of its telecommunications brand, YES, in supporting the nation’s agenda of a 5G network and infrastructure.
According to the agency, the new appointments came on the heels of several recent B2B wins, including its appointment by HID Global and iNTERCiTY. HID Global is said to offer a broad portfolio of physical access solutions for access to secured doors, gates, networks, services, and more. Meanwhile, iNTERCiTY, a homegrown end-to-end data document processing and record management company, engaged Zeno to provide PR and content support.
