GP Batteries has appointed Frankie Li (pictured) as its senior vice president and general manager of global marketing. 

In his new role, Li will lead the company’s global marketing agenda, spanning brand strategy, category development, consumer insights, innovation, digital commerce and marketing capabilities.

Li joins from Lee Kum Kee, where he was most recently the vice president of global category, driving global category strategy, brand building, and innovation. With over 20 years of international marketing experience, Li has held leadership roles in the UK, China, and Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Lee Kum Kee, Li held senior positions at Reckitt and Procter & Gamble, where he led regional and global initiatives across multiple categories. Known for his strategic thinking and cross-cultural leadership, he is passionate about driving growth through consumer insights, portfolio focus, and digitally enabled go-to-market excellence.

With a heritage spanning more than six decades, GP Batteries has grown from its home base in Hong Kong into one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers, serving consumers and businesses across multiple continents through a diverse portfolio of consumer, rechargeable, specialty and industrial power solutions.

Today, GP is recognised as one of Asia’s leading battery brands and among the largest battery manufacturers globally. As the world continues to evolve towards greater mobility, connectivity and electrification, the appointment aims to further strengthen the company’s brands, categories and consumer engagement across markets.

Li's appointment follows the departure of Terry Tong, GP Batteries' former global digital marketing director. Tong has transitioned to camera accessories brand K&F Concept as its new global marketing director.
