Google has appointed Leonie Valentine as managing director for sales and operations which will be effective from 1 August.
With over 20 years of sales and marketing experience under her belt, Valentine will now be responsible for the sales and operations in Hong Kong.
Scott Beaumont, vice president for Google in Greater China and Korea, said, “We have a very strong team in place in Hong Kong. With Leonie’s leadership and passion, as well as deep roots within the local community, we are confident she will continue to inspire Googlers and our business partners in Hong Kong, and help the city become a digital champion.”
Before working for Google, Leonie was vice president for customer service and operations at CSL Limited. Prior to this, she held the position of chief of staff for Telstra International Group.
Leonie said, “Hong Kong is a city fueled by creativity and innovation, and I truly believe that digital and mobile play a critical role in today’s business success. I’m excited to take on this new role and support the Hong Kong businesses of all sizes to succeed online.”
