GoGoVan sets up ‘saliva specimen’ pick-up service in Hong Kong

While the Hong Kong government has implemented stringent measures to help combat the COVID-19 outbreak, GoGoVan has set up a dedicated team to offer courier services for inbound travellers from overseas countries.
From 3 April onwards, GoGoDelivery, GoGoVan’s delivery service arm, will offer courier services for inbound travellers from foreign countries, helping to transport their deep throat saliva samples to designated specimen collection centres of the Department of Health for testing on Mondays to Fridays at 9am to 3pm.
After collecting the samples, the team will send them to designated locations of the Department of Health on the same day.
Currently, about 30% of inbound travellers have not provided samples for COVID-19 testing. GoGoVan hopes the new door-to-door courier service can provide an option for the public to be tested for the virus, increasing the efficiency and speed of sample collections.
