Garuda Indonesia has launched a "Garuda Indonesia Vintage Flight Experience" flight service, in line with its efforts to improve user flight experience. According to The Jakarta Post, the airline aims to differentiate its services to its passengers on flight. The national airline will be providing the "Vintage Flight Experience" concept from 7 December until 17 December 2018. The theme will be set on a 1970s and 1980s era, as the cabin crew will be dressed in "old school" uniforms. The vintage attire is reported to be designed by Japanese designer, Hanae Mori. In addition, the Boeing 737-800NG fleet will also be branded with the themed setting. Marketing Interactive has reached out to Garuda Indonesia for comment. Most recently, in YouGov BrandIndex's annual brand health rankings for Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia again topped the list. In a list featuring a large number of global brands, the home-bound airline came up top once more for the second year in a row. In the rankings, the airlines is ahead of search giant Google in second, water brand Aqua coming in third, and instant noodle brand Indomie in fourth position. Streaming service YouTube came in fifth, just ahead of electronics company Samsung, which took the sixth spot. The rankings are based on YouGov BrandIndex’s Index score, which measures overall brand health. The score takes into account consumers’ perception of a brand’s overall quality, value, impression, reputation, satisfaction and whether consumers would recommend the brand to others.
