Japanese information and communication technology company Fujitsu has appointed Asia PR Werkz as its public relations (PR) agency. The appointment is for a period of one year and covers the Singapore market.
The agency will manage Fujitsu’s public relations strategy, working closely with the company to raise brand awareness on its B2B products and services. This includes media relations and the management of its social media presence.
Asia PR Werkz will also develop strategies to strengthen Fujitsu Singapore’s thought leadership presence on topics such as Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and robotics, to realise digital transformation by co-creation. PR efforts will be led by Lim Wee Ling, director of the agency. Meanwhile, online engagement efforts will be led by Sharon Koh, director.
Most recently, Fujitsu commissioned a Tech Research Asia report which highlighted the top three frustrations for marketers when it comes to embracing technology.
This includes lack of access and support for using newer technologies, the IT department not supporting needs of business users and the difficulties involved with getting information from data. Meanwhile, the top three key challenges for marketing departments lie in understanding customers, difficulty in rapidly reacting to price competition plans, and developing compelling content.
The agency was also recently appointed by Lendlease in March to handle PR duties, as well as MINDEF for the management of PR and online engagement efforts for Total Defence Day 2017. This will see the agency developing and executing an integrated communication strategy.
