Fox's regional SVP exits

Avinash Himatsinghani (pictured), senior vice president and general manager, Southeast Asia of Fox International Channels (FIC) Asia has decided to leave the post at the end of this year.

Himatsinghani has been with FIC for more than a decade and has held his last position for nearly three years.

In his most recent role, Himatsinghani was based in Singapore and played a vital role in creating local market teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand and forming strong relationships in these markets.

Himatsinghani has held various positions in the company since first starting his career with the company in 2001.

He was initially part of STAR's advertising sales team in Hong Kong and later moved on to set up National Geographic Channel's regional advertising sales business across Asia Pacific.

Commenting on his departure, Himatsinghani said: "The time has come for me to move on and explore new ventures - the entrepreneurial spirit in me has been kindled and I look forward to setting up my own business in the not so distant future."
