Former TM group CEO Dato’ Sri Zamzamzairani resurfaces at UEM Sunrise

UEM Sunrise has named Dato’ Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa as its new chairman effective 18 May 2017. Mohd Isa will replace Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, who assumed the position in September 2008 and has now gone into retirement. This is according to the announcement by the property developer on Bursa.Mohd Isa’s vast experience in the telecommunications industry spans more than 30 years, beginning in Telekom Malaysia where he served for 13 years before assuming key positions in several multinational firms. In 2005, he returned to TM as senior vice president, group strategy and technology and was eventually promoted to group chief executive officer and managing director in April 2008. This was until his retirement from TM on 30 April 2017.Under his leadership, TM launched and successfully rolled out the high speed broadband service in 2010, in a historic collaboration with the Malaysian government.Meanwhile, UEM Sunrise is a public-listed company and one of Malaysia’s leading property developers. It is also the flagship company for township and property development businesses of UEM Group and Khazanah Nasional.The company is renowned for its high-rise residential, commercial and mixed-use developments largely in the affluent Mont’ Kiara enclave, which is popular among the expatriates. In addition, it's also responsible for introducing the concept of creative retails in Solaris Dutamas, known as Publika.On the southern side, UEM Sunrise is known as the master developer of Iskandar Puteri, one of the five flagship zones of Iskandar Malaysia. Upon completion, Iskandar Puteri is expected to be the largest fully integrated urban development in Southeast Asia, providing significant investment, financial and business opportunities to the economic growth and development of the region, said UEM Sunrise.
