Former IPG Mediabrands APAC digital chief Scott McBride joins Shuttlerock

Scott McBride (pictured), former chief digital officer, Asia Pacific at IPG Mediabrands has joined Shuttlerock as global chief business officer and will be based in Singapore. Shuttlerock creates data-driven mobile-optimised ads for Facebook and Instagram and has offices in Singapore, Japan, the US, Germany and France.Shuttlerock’s spokesperson confirmed the appointment to Marketing, adding that the role is a newly created one and that McBride will be managing its expanding Asia operations while building global agency and brand relationships from its Singapore hub. Among the list of clients Shuttlerock works with include Indian Gifts Portal, Wiwi, Big Commerce and Style Theory.McBride will report to founder and CEO Jonathan Hendriksen. Hendriksen said: “McBride’s exceptional and well established background with global agencies and working with major brands will help us to grow these important relationships around the world.”McBride, who was tasked with the launch of Reprise, left IPG Mediabrands in May last year after approximately two years. Before that, he was with Ogilvy in Hong Kong and helmed roles including managing partner, head of digital and regional business director, social and digital, according to his LinkedIn. He also worked at Verticurl, Neo@Ogilvy and oceanseventy, among others.
