While no names were mentioned, it is a well known fact that the CEO for the time stated was Emirsyah Satar. Satar is also currently holding the chairman role of Indonesian conglomerate Lippo Group’s e-commerce platform

According to several media reports, Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said in a statement that CEO of Garuda was suspected of taking bribes related to activities of purchasing planes and machines from Rolls-Royce.

According to a statement given to Business Times by a Garuda spokesperson, the corruption case is related individual actions rather than airline companies and Garuda is cooperating with KPK.
