Ford Motor Company has appointed Kay Hart as the new managing director of Ford Philippines, effective 1 June.
Hart will be replacing Randy Krieger (pictured), who has been promoted to director of marketing and sales at Ford ASEAN. Her former role was dealer development and field operations director at Ford Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai, China.
She will be tasked to keep the momentum at Ford Philippines following four consecutive months of record sales through April. In the pipeline is the introduction of One Ford vehicles, an aggressive expansion of its dealership network and improvements on customer services, said in a statement.
Krieger has left Hart with big shoes to fill. The former president of Ford Philippines since 2010 delivered record sales for three consecutive years and nearly doubled its nationwide Ford dealership network. Among the cars he introduced in the country includes the updated versions of the Ford Fiesta, Ford Explorer, Ford Ranger, Ford Focus and Ford Mustang.
Hart will be bringing to the role deep marketing experience with the "Blue Oval" after taking on top level marketing positions at Ford for the past 14 years.
Prior to her role at Ford Asia Pacific, Hart served as vice president of Marketing at Ford Thailand, where she managed the company's overall marketing strategy to drive awareness of the Ford brand.
She joined Ford New Zealand in 1999, rapidly climbing the ranks over an eight year period before landing roles in Asia. Among her positions at Ford New Zealand are national sales manager, marketing programs and communications Manager, parts and service marketing manager and dealer operations manager.
