Global communications firm FleishmanHillard has appointed Eswari Kalugasalam Lawson as vice president in its Kuala Lumpur office. She brings more than two decades of communications experience, having worked in Malaysia as a journalist, in-house communications executive, and consultant specializing in corporate communications and issues management.
Lawson has provided strategic counsel for clients in a range of sectors, including finance, property, professional services and education. Before joining FleishmanHillard, she advised at Essence Burson-Marsteller and also held senior in-house communication roles at the ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre. In these roles, she cultivated and maintained partnerships with regional leaders and global organisations. She also worked at Titan Chemicals, focusing on investor relations, government relations and corporate social responsibility. Lawson started her career as a journalist with The Sun and then moved to Building and Investment magazine as assistant editor.
