PR agency FleishmanHillard has hired Magdalene Lee (pictured) as general manager of its Kuala Lumpur office.
Joining the agency from Leo Burnett’s digital arm Arc Worldwide where she was PR director, Lee will be tasked to oversee the agency’s Malaysia operations. The general manager role was previously held by Chomaine Chai who is returning to Singapore after four years at the helm. FleishmanHillard did not comment on A+M's queries on Chai's move.
In her new leadership role for FleishmanHillard’s KL, Lee will be focused on managing integrated campaigns combining public relations, brand marketing, social and digital across media platforms.
Lee is known best for her work across fast-moving consumer goods, property, retail, finance, automotive and hospitality sectors. She was group director of marketing and communications at Accor Resorts & Hotels, Palm Resorts, where she headed the marketing and communications department for four years. Prior to that, she worked at Meru Valley Resort for four years where was senior business development manager before being promoted to the position of senior corporate development manager.
Lynne Anne Davis, FleishmanHillard president of Asia Pacific, said, “Lee's rich skill set across disciplines makes her a multi-talented leader equipped to set the agency on a path of continued growth and innovation in Malaysia."
“Kuala Lumpur is an extremely important market in our Southeast Asia proposition which continues to expand in capability and opportunities as these dynamic economies unfold," Davis added.
Meanwhile, Eswari Kalugasalam Lawson replaced her role at Arc Worldwide.
