Flash Coffee appoints new Indonesia marketing head

Flash Coffee has appointed Grace Surya as its head of marketing in Indonesia. Under her new role, Surya (pictured) will establish Flash Coffee as a go-to, relevant brand in the Indonesia market, from building awareness to creating the best customer experience. She will also grow Flash Coffee’s market share in Indonesia, by leveraging on our tech integration and data-first marketing strategy.

Surya told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that she was excited to get Indonesia to join the Flash Coffee movement and experience our tech-enabled quality coffee. She will be reporting to Maxime Chaury, MD for Flash Coffee Indonesia, with a dotted vertical reporting line to Deniz Kazak, regional head of marketing at Flash Coffee.

According to her LinkedIn, Surya was formerly VP of brand and marketing strategy at Project Titan. There, she was project director for the agency's 2019 presidential election and post-election campaign projects; where she developed modern, people centred, data driven, digitally-sophisticated through-the-line campaign strategies to achieve impactful goals and bring the nation forward.

Prior to Project Titan, Surya worked as VP of brand and communications strategy at Home Credit Indonesia, where she lead a team to conduct and analyse market research and brand study into brand and communications strategy for 2019, including through-the-line brand campaigns and insights for UI/UX experience of Home Credit newly developed apps.

She was also head of marketing communications at Tourism New Zealand, where she successfully led the brand's "Mobile First" transformation project in the market, which resulted in more than 40% increase of active visit rate to the brand's website. Surya has also worked in marketing roles under reputable brands such as Grab, Uber, and The Coca-Cola Company.

At the same time, Flash Coffee also brought on board Aly Ang (pictured below) as senior PR and communications manager, Asia Pacific. She was previously an account director at AKA Asia and also worked at Skyscanner as senior PR and communications manager for Asia Pacific.
