Firefly Airlines has launched its Terima Kasih campaign ahead of Merdeka and Malaysia Day, offering consumers a 60% discount on all domestic destinations. It is also offering a 50% discount for flight and accommodation packages, in a bid to thank consumers for their support.
The airline is also producing a video for FireflyTV in conjunction with its Terima Kasih campaign, going back to the basics about Malaysians and manners. Firefly is also carrying out CSR initiative in September alongside World Clean Up Day 2019, which is also in line with the Terima Kasih campaign as it aims to educate the younger generation about preserving the homeland. Earlier this month, it changed its logo to green as part of a sustainability campaign.
Firefly vice president of marketing and communications, Izra Izzuddin, said that good manners, friendliness, warmth and kindness are key traits to have in the hospitality industry.
“It is important to be able to leave a positive image of our country to a tourist. This will also enable tourists to enjoy a relaxing holiday as they feel that their arrival here is welcomed and appreciated by the local community. Therefore, employees at Firefly Airlines are consistently reminded of smiling and speaking in a gentle tone when dealing with passengers,” she added.
