FCN's Flock appoints returning creative leader Arsyad as ECD

Flock, the creative agency under Future Creative Network (FCN), has appointed Arsyad (pictured, left) as its new executive creative director, bringing back one of the agency's founding creative leaders.

The appointment reunites Arsyad with managing director Nikken Diahtantri (pictured, right) as the agency looks to strengthen its creative leadership for its next phase of growth.

Arsyad returns after five years away from FCN, having most recently served as creative director at Ogilvy Indonesia. During his first stint at Flock, he helped shape the agency's creative identity, leading campaigns for brands including Tokopedia and BCA.

Among his best-known work was Tokopedia's #MulaiAjaDulu platform, which evolved into a series of cinema short films shown nationwide. The campaign resonated by capturing the aspirations of Indonesians through storytelling rather than production scale alone.

As ECD, Arsyad will lead Flock's creative direction across its client portfolio while developing the agency's next generation of creative leaders. His remit also includes helping shape Flock's creative model as artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded in the advertising industry.

Ivan Hadywibowo, CEO of FCN, said the appointment reflects the agency's belief that AI will change how agencies work, but not what ultimately differentiates them.

"AI is making creativity faster, cheaper, and more available than ever. That is not a threat, it is a filter. The agencies that win will be those that use AI to understand people more deeply, and pair that with storytelling only a truly skilled human can deliver. Arsyad is one of the finest human storytellers this industry has produced. His return is not just a talent decision, it is a statement about the kind of agency Flock is choosing to become: one where data sharpens the brief, and genuine human creativity does what no algorithm can," he said.

Diahtantri said Arsyad's appointment strengthens the agency's long-term creative ambitions.

"The work I care about most at Flock has always been building a team and a culture where great creative is inevitable, not occasional. Having Arsyad lead the creative vision alongside that gives me real confidence in where we are headed. We have the foundations. Now we build," she said.

Founded in 2016, Flock served as the founding creative agency within FCN and has since built a reputation for culturally driven campaigns.

"I have always believed great work starts with great relationships. That is what brought me here ten years ago, and it is what brings me back today. Leaving gave me perspective on how special this place and these people really are. I am excited to build the next chapter together through work that people genuinely connect with," said Arsyad.
