Travel website fayfay.com has signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre and the Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province to promote tourism in Central Vietnam. Aimed at Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia travellers, the partnership will see fayfay.com offering visitors more choices over travel products for Central Vietnamese cities such as Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, and Quang Binh. “Da Nang and Hue are the spotlight cities on Fayfay.com in 2019. Working closely with the two tourism authorities, we will augment our marketing efforts and roll out more initiatives, including digital campaigns, industry partnerships, media familiarisation trips and trade shows,” said Kelvin Wu, co-founder of Fayfay.com. Central Vietnam has been gaining popularity for travellers in recent years. In 2018, Da Nang attracted more than 7.6 million visitors, rising 23% year-on-year, earning a total revenue of nearly US$1.2 billion. “Asia, especially Hong Kong and Taiwan, will be our focal markets in coming years, and we hope that travellers from the region will be inspired to visit Da Nang, home to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches," said Huynh Thi Huong Lan, deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre. Meanwhile, Thua Thien-Hue Province served over 4.3 million visitors last year, increasing up to 14% year-on-year and grossing US$192.4 million from tourism revenue. Fayfay.com offers curated on-the-ground packages, souvenirs, and products from local brands on its platform. To further engage travellers, the site provides blog posts on social media platforms, serving as an info hub for everything related to Vietnam travel, with curated recommendations and insider tips, travel guides, and exclusive privileges. Special packages include transfers, tours, activities, and deluxe accommodations designed together with their partners. The site also currently offers Vietnam travel planning services to help travellers who prefer customised trips. “With a rich cultural heritage, Hue stands out as a city of ancient royalty and authentic cuisine. The cooperation with Fayfay.com will lure more tourists from our targeted markets, mainly Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, to Hue who appreciate the colourful historical backdrop of the city,” concluded Nguyen Van Phuc, deputy director of Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province.
