Farmhouse, Costa Coffee and BigPay bust out their own take of #SpotifyWrapped

As the year almost draws to a close, social media is once again abuzz with consumers' Spotify Wrapped, which provides insights on individual users' listening habits. Some brands in Malaysia decided to join in on the fun and create their own version of Spotify Wrapped.

Instead of famous rap names such as The Notorious B.I.G. or iconic rap songs such as Straight Outta Compton, Farmhouse Malaysia brought its own flavour to the table. Among its top artists were The Nutritious C.O.W, The Cool Cows, and Cream Connoisseurs, while its top songs included Straight Outta Aussie and Permission to Moo.

"Pretty gnarly year, if we do say so ourselves," Farmhouse said. The Farmhouse Wrapped also used a colour scheme and template was akin to those provided by Spotify for users who wanted to share their Wrapped insights on their social media accounts.

Meanwhile, Costa Coffee also jumped at the chance to show off its top sippers. From coffee classics and chocolate fiends to icy-cold frostino and cool refreshers, these are Costa Coffee's top sippers that consumers can indulge in while listening to their favourite genres on Spotify. The posts by Farmhouse and Costa Coffee were done in collaboration with The Chariot Agency.

BigPay Malaysia didn't want to miss out on the fun either. In a series of posts, it decided to take consumers on a journey down memory lane on the number of minutes spent on calls with their friends, and the number of times they had to rethink their purchase before clicking the checkout button.

Spotify Wrapped was unveiled recently, featuring all-new features in addition to listeners' top artists, genres, songs, and podcasts, as well as the minutes listen. Some of the new features included Your Audio Aura, The Movie, and Playing Cards. Your Audio Aura is visualised based on listeners' top two music moods. Meanwhile, The Movie feature pairs listeners' top songs with classic scenes from a movie that is all about them. As for Playing Cards, the interactive, data-based game allows consumers to play and share it with friends. Several statements will be displayed about users' listening habits in 2021 and they will have to guess which is true. 

Last year, Subway also did its own version of Spotify Wrapped, working with VaynerMedia Asia Pacific to spread some positivity, especially since many netizens thanked their top-streamed artistes for helping them get through the tough year.
