Facebook names Dolan's replacement

Facebook's search for a Southeast Asia lead has ended with the appointment of Darin Williams who takes over from Stephen Dolan.Dolan, according to a Facebook spokesperson, has moved onto a new role within the company, focusing on Korea and Japan.Williams will be based in Singapore and report to the vice president (APAC) at Facebook, Erik Johnson. He will be tasked with handling sales support functions across markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.Williams (pictured) was most recently the MD of Nielsen Vietnam between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that he held the role of executive director and has been working with the company since 1999 holding various positions.He has had experience across several industry verticals, including CPG, Telco, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Financial Services."Darin brings exceptional industry insights and experience and we look forward to him partnering with advertisers and agencies in Southeast Asia to extend their brand presence in the online world," Johnson said.Earlier, in the year Facebook also appointed Microsoft's Charlene Chian as communications lead for Asia Pacific.
