Etika's Santharuban Sundaram resigns as CEO

Etika Holdings' CEO (Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei & exports), Santharuban Thurai Sundaram (pictured), has resigned as CEO effective immediately, and will serve his notice until March 2026 next year. 

Santharuban confirmed the matter with A+M.

He has spent a collective 15 years with Etika, across three separate stints. He first joined the company as a brand manager in 2007, later becoming senior brand manager, before leaving for brief stints at New Straits Times Press (NSTP) and Celcom Axiata.

In 2013, Santharuban returned to Etika as group marketing manager, and left in 2019 as senior VP of marketing and alternate business. After some time at Atlas Vending as CEO, he was brought back into the group as CEO overseeing Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei in 2022. 

Earlier this year in April, Santharuban's CEO remit was expanded to oversee exports as well. 

Besides running Etika, Santharuban is also a board member on the Malaysian Recycling Alliance and an adjunct professor at UNITAR International University, according to his LinkedIn profile.
