How can you lead more creatively?
The 4As and Astro are seeking to answer this question through their collaborative effort with the Berlin School of Creativity by offering the Executive MBA in Creative Leadership programme.
An intense 70 days programme with five two-week modules spanning three continents, the program focuses on helping creative executives become better leaders and vice-versa.
Professor David Slocum, faculty director of EMBA Program & Academic Advisory Board Member of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership says that the program is timely because of how quickly the advertising and marketing landscape is shifting.
"New media options mean new creative possibilities but less control and business leaders need to not only be creative but nimble enough to change and adapt while still inspiring and leading their teams."
The collaboration between 4As and the Berlin School of Creativity began with a competitive scholarship in 2010 for senior advertising executives. The scholarship was offered twice in Malaysia with one graduate so far, Gavin Ho from McCann.
Omar Shaari, 4As council member and chief executive officer of Dentsu Utama says that the 4As will review the results of the program before confirming the permanence of the programme. Indications are positive so far that the collaboration will continue, turning the inaugural program into an annual one.
Up to date, the program records 27 participants .
