ELLE Malaysia makes key appointments

Mongoose Publishing has appointed Kate Guest as deputy editor of the ELLE Malaysia magazine, Tengku Zainab Ajlaa as the beauty editor,and Anucyia Victor as the editor of the website ELLE.my.Both Guest and Victor will report to Andrea Wong, editor-in-chief of ELLE Malaysia Magazine.Wong said Guest, Victor and Ajlaa are the "very definition of the ELLE woman.""We considered the very best talent in Malaysia for these roles and I am delighted that in these smart, savvy ladies we have the very best. I am looking forward to positively redefining the way women are portrayed and engaged with in Malaysia."Deputy editor Kate Guest is an internationally experienced journalist and sub-editor with nine years' experience writing and editing for some of the world's best fashion, food, travel and lifestyle magazines in the UK, Australia and Malaysia.She has written and sub-edited for prestigious publications including Jamie (UK), Harper's Bazaar (Australia & Malaysia), Australian Gourmet Traveller, Food & Travel (UK), Going Places(Malaysia Airlines) and Tatler (Malaysia), to name a few.Victor, on the other hand, will be in charge of shaping the site's content.The ELLE.my website will be launched ahead of the inaugural magazine launch next year, will deliver a fresh digital experience of the ELLE brand.Another key hire was Tengku Zainab Ajlaa as the beauty editor.She has experience and knowledge in the beauty industry's scientific advancements and an ability to spot market shifts and runway trends and also has been responsible for managing various editorial projects and advertorial booklets with great success.The official launch of ELLE Malaysia magazine will take place alongside the unveiling of the March 2014 issue in February 2014.Updates, live coverage and blogs from Wong at the Paris Fashion Week are available on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@ELLEMalaysia).Earlier in September, Elle Malaysia Magazine appointed Andrea Wong as its editor-in-chief.
