eHealth launches citywide push for connected healthcare

Hong Kong government medical record system eHealth (醫健通) has unveiled an integrated citywide campaign alongside the launch of its newly upgraded mobile app, encouraging Hongkongers to take a more proactive role in managing their health.

As part of Hong Kong's push for a more connected healthcare system, eHealth allows citizens to access and manage their personal health records in one place, helping them better understand their health and make informed decisions. Recently, eHealth launched an upgraded mobile app featuring a simpler interface and new functions designed to improve accessibility and engagement.

Building on these enhancements, the campaign, developed by Havas Hong Kong as the creative and media agency, aims to translate the app's capabilities into a clear and relatable proposition. It encourages users to move beyond passive record keeping toward active, everyday health management.

Launched under the theme "eHealth: Your all-in-one health link" (唯獨醫健通,健康全接通), the campaign positions eHealth as a central hub that connects different parts of a person’s healthcare journey - from medical records and appointments to daily health needs.

At the heart of the campaign is a series of four promotional videos, each centred on relatable, real-life scenarios across different life stages. The films demonstrate how eHealth fits seamlessly into daily routines, making digital health management more intuitive and accessible. The creative approach is designed to shift perception - from seeing eHealth as a passive system to recognising it as an active, everyday companion supporting ongoing health needs.

To maximise reach and salience, the campaign is amplified through a citywide media rollout, anchored by zone domination in Causeway Bay, one of Hong Kong’s busiest commercial and commuter districts. This includes prominent MTR station placements, ensuring repeated exposure among high footfall audiences during daily commutes.

The campaign has further extended to outdoor TV at Jade Pearl Plaza and MTR trackside TV, capturing attention during key transit moments. In addition, 140 digital bus panels traverse the city, embedding the message into everyday journeys across multiple neighbourhoods.

Complementing the out-of-home presence is a coordinated mix of digital and social advertising, extending the campaign into online environments and driving deeper engagement. By connecting physical and digital touchpoints, the campaign creates a seamless journey - from awareness to understanding - reinforcing how eHealth can support users in their daily lives.

Through the combined impact of the app upgrade and campaign rollout, eHealth aims to encourage a shift towards proactive and preventive health management. By pairing enhanced functionality with relatable storytelling and high-frequency visibility, the campaign positions eHealth not just as a platform, but as an essential part of everyday health management - supporting a more connected and health-conscious community across Hong Kong.
