Dane Lim (pictured), director of marketing and communications at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) has stepped down. According to his LinkedIn, Lim has co-founded The Be.Live Practice, a yin yoga studio, where he is managing the business and marketing.

In a statement to Marketing, EDB's assistant managing director Thien Kwee Eng, said moving forward, EDB’s marketing functions will be overseen by Lim Sze Ling. Lim also holds the concurrent appointments as executive director, customer experience management and organisational development.

"Lim has been instrumental in EDB’s marketing efforts, building a strong team that has played a key role in many of EDB’s initiatives. Under his leadership, EDB collaborated successfully with the Singapore Tourism Board to launch the unified Passion Made Possible brand which has been well received both locally and internationally. We would like to thank Lim for his dedication and contributions to EDB," Thien added.

Lim first took on the director of marketing and communications role at EDB in 2016, taking over from former executive director Myrna Poon, who joined DBS. He has also stepped down from his role as director of external affairs and marketing at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, a role he took on in November 2015.

During his tenure, Lim led the school’s overall brand and communications strategy. He also handled media relations and developed new strategic partnerships to grow the school’s global reputation as a school of choice for public policy and thought leadership in the school’s five research focus areas.

He was previously deputy director of marketing and communications at EDB from 2014 to 2015, and was head of the marketing and communications division prior to that for a period of four years from 2010 to 2014.

"I decided to take a break from corporate life to pursue my passion project. I recently launched my own yoga practice to offer a more sustainable approach to personal fitness and holistic well-being. I am grateful for all the opportunities EDB has given me and humbled to have worked alongside with a talented team," Lim said in a statement to Marketing.
