Echo Asia, a newly launched digital agency focused on CSR and the environment, is backing its pledge to social enterprise by donating 5% of its annual revenue to local charities.
Samson Tong, former regional director of Cre8PLUS and the co-founder of sustainable lifestyle media KIOSK, is behind Echo Asia, which will have a special focus on branding, digital and social media with an environmental bend.
Tong said businesses today place more emphasis on profit, rather than the planet, but said businesses have the power to provide guidance and influence people.
“I’ve noticed the absence of services that provide businesses with CSR and digital branding solutions. That’s why I’ve founded Echo Asia, to help businesses achieve sustainable growth,” Tong said.
The firm, he added, takes up a mission to alter the public perception and behaviour in adapting a low-carbon lifestyle by infusing environmental considerations in every marketing project.
Tong has over 15 years of experience in advertising, integrated marketing and publishing in the Greater China region, and has worked for publications with the likes of HK Magazine, WHERE Magazine, Shanghai Talk Magazine.
He was most recently the regional director at creative agency Cre8PLUS, where he founded the sustainable lifestyle platform KIOSK (both online and digital editions) and Zero Guide, a travel guide series focused on sustainability.
