Food-tech platform EasyEat has partnered with fintech company Boost to drive digital transformation and introduce innovative digital solutions designed for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the industry.

The collaboration showcases a co-branded POS terminal that is seamlessly integrated with Boost’s dynamic digital payment solutions. This is said to be ready to roll out by Q4 of 2023 itself, with customers of both companies having access to an expanded suite of services in the following weeks.

Additionally, F&B merchants will have access to a comprehensive toolkit to help businesses streamline operations, elevate customer experience, and optimise efficiency. Merchants and diners alike will also benefit from a more diverse array of options, all within an integrated solution that is faster and highly secure.

“Our collaboration with EasyEat is a testament to our commitment to empowering businesses to succeed in the hyper-rapid F&B industry. This venture not only offers our F&B merchants easy access to EasyEat’s platform, fostering growth and innovation but will also help propel Boost's expansion into payment gateway services, powered by Boost Connect," said Ankur Jakhwal, CEO of Boost Connect.

“This partnership with Boost will offer a comprehensive fintech solution to our merchants to help them execute their growth plans at a much rapid pace,” added Mohd Wassem, CEO of EasyEat AI.

“Similarly, Boost’s F&B clients will get to experience EasyEat’s AI platform and can use technology to drive growth and elevate diner experience to next level,” he said.

According to EasyEat, both companies share the same growth vision, and it believes that this partnership will provide a much-needed financial and tech impetus for small and medium F&B businesses.

Furthermore, Boost will extend micro-financing support to EasyEat's merchants through its AI-based financing business, which underlines its commitment to supporting SMEs within the industry.

By fostering technological advancements, promoting financial inclusivity, and encouraging entrepreneurship, EasyEat and Boost are dedicated to creating an environment where creativity and innovation flourish.

Boost, together with Celcomdigi, also recently partnered with Mastercard to introduce the Beyond Card earlier this month. This card is the first two-in-one international card in Malaysia, enabling customers to access funds from their Boost wallet balance and utilise a pre-approved credit line.

It is the first card in Malaysia with this unique feature and is accepted across Mastercard’s over 100 million merchants worldwide.

Sheyantha Abeykoon, Group CEO of Boost, said: “It gives me great privilege to be able to launch a first in the market product together with our sister company CelcomDigi and be able to provide a tier one card experience to a large segment of our combined customer base. This product launch is a successful blend of inclusive financial innovation, coupled with synergistic value unleashed by two flagship Malaysian companies in the Axiata Group.”
