Dwyer takes on brand duties at CNN

Chris Dwyer has taken on overall responsibility for CNN Asia Pacific's consumer and affiliate marketing, in addition to his role as executive director of PR.

Dwyer (pictured), who marks his tenth year with CNN in April this year, said the move signals a closer working relationship between the communications and marketing teams.

His appointment comes also comes as new PAX data shows CNN as the most watched international news channel among senior business people throughout the region.

PAX, the syndicated, cross-media survey conducted by Synovate, shows CNN took a strong 44% share of monthly viewers ahead of BBC World News with 28% and CNBC with 19%.

William Hsu, vice president of news advertising sales at CNN Asia Pacific, said the results vindicate its investments in newsgathering and programming content.
