CMHK shows its advanced achievement in B2B solutions with the establishment of Hong Kong’s first 5G empowered Smart Building – 46 Tsun Yip Street

The long-awaited 5G services in Hong Kong finally kicked off in April 2020. As one of the major network service providers, CMHK has strengthened its technological hardware and services quality from time to time to become the pioneer in developing 5G applications.

On 22 October, CMHK hosted the 5G Solution Day 2020 event, leveraging live broadcast technology to bring the theme ‘Empowering 5G, Unlimited potential’ to life. 

Experts from CMHK demonstrated its 5G development, advanced applications, NB-IoT and cloud service business solutions to corporate clients, including Hong Kong’s first 5G empowered smart building and smart parking, to name a few.

CMHK also showcased its collaboration with FDB Assets. In this partnership, CMHK has installed a 5G network for FDB Assets’ property 46 Tsun Yip Street - Hong Kong’s first non-residential 5G empowered smart building. A dedicated app is created for the property which allows users to enter or leave the building or offices, and even take the lift through a mobile device. Also, users can share their access permission to visitors, enabling them to skip the registration process. This arrangement offers greater convenience and efficiency to users by ensuring a smooth daily operation. 

Covered by the 5G network, every office in 46 Tsun Yip Street guarantees users a fast yet reliable internet service alongside a series of smart devices, offering the most advanced and smart working spaces for talents.  the smart office is also installed with virtual desktop infrastructure, offering greater flexibility for users as they can work anywhere. 

To protect their privacy, there are no pre-installed closed-circuit television cameras at all offices. But talents can install them based on their needs and monitor the interiors through the app.
