Publicis agency Digitas has appointed Toby Ruddock as client partner for APAC to bolster its media team. He will be responsible for managing the regional Visa business across APAC where he will drive and evolve the creative data-led communications agenda for the Visa One Team. Ruddock (pictured) will report to Charlie Newbery, chief media office of APAC, Digitas, and Rika Sharma, managing director, Digitas Singapore. Ruddock has more than twenty years experience across various agency networks and continents. Most recently, Ruddock was the global client officer at Havas Media Group in Dubai, where he was responsible for Emirates Group, media strategy and investments. Prior to this, Ruddock spent three years at MediaCom in the Middle East as regional strategic director and head of media beyond advertising, where he led local teams in developing and successfully implementing strategies for both local and global agency clients. Ruddock started his career at MediaCom in Melbourne before relocating back the UK where he spent almost a decade split between Starcom and Mindshare. “It’s a really exciting time for Digitas and Publicis as we launch our regional Visa One integrated agency team hub here in Singapore. The team are talented, enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring we deliver great innovative communications for the iconic Visa brand,” Ruddock said. “Ruddock is a seasoned client partner and we are very excited to have him onboard. I have no doubt that Ruddock will add tremendous value to Visa and continue to build on our media capabilities, further strengthening Digitas as the Connected Marketing agency,” Sharma said.
