Malaysia telco Digi has launched a film in conjunction with its national day.
With the hashtag #BukaLaHati, which literally translates to “please open your heart” sends messages on the importance of patience and tolerance.
The 4 minutes and 30 seconds film surrounds a grumpy, unhappy and short-tampered man, who one day gets a visit from his younger self. The latter then shows him flashes of events that happened earlier in his life, explaining also what happened to those people he interacted with.
Watching this, the man finally realises the essence of what Digi preaches in this ad that one can only be happy when you reach out to others. He then starts to change on ways he treats people surrounding him.
The touching film has received a lot of praises from netizens and ends with the saying: “We are never truly free until we are free from our own judgement and that can only happen when we open our hearts to those around us.”
The telco’s creative agency in Malaysia is Naga DDB. Posted on 25 August, the video has since collected more than 2.6 million views, almost 94,900 shares and over 45,000 likes.
