Digimap teams up with Muklay for exclusive Apple-inspired merchandise
share on
Digimap, Apple’s premium partner and authorised reseller in Indonesia under Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP), has officially named acclaimed illustrator Muchlis Fachri (Muklay) as its latest “Friend of Digimap.”
Under the theme Muklayground, the illustrator introduces a series of unique characters inspired by Digimap’s young, active, energetic, and tech-savvy customers.
The collaboration also goes beyond merchandise design: Muklay will serve as a mentor for young artists seeking to kickstart their creative careers.

The latest partnership features two exclusive merchandise items: a MacBook Bag and an AirPods Case Plushie. Both are designed in Muklay’s eclectic style, blending functionality with art.
“We are confident that works of art can be visualised through various mediums and produce the finest masterpieces,” said Farah Fausa Winarsih, GM of marketing at MAP Zona Adiperkasa, as quoted by Hypeabis.
Winarsih added that Digimap is committed to collaborating with more local artists in the future, allowing them to sell their products in the store and reinforcing their support for local production.
The newly released exclusive merchandise could also become collectible items. Priced at IDR 799,000 (US$48.3) for the MacBook Bag and IDR 299,000 (US$18.3) for the AirPods Case Plushie, the first batch of 700 exclusive items has been released and distributed across 25 Digimap stores in major cities nationwide.
Muklay has developed an IP with over 50 characters, including main character Jabrik, and hinted at upcoming projects such as an AirPods Max cover featuring his signature designs.
This is not Digimap’s first collaboration with Muklay. In 2022, the partnership produced exclusive merchandise including a laptop bag featuring ten unique characters. This year’s collaboration builds on that foundation, reaffirming Digimap’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s visual artists.
Muklay noted that the partnership with Digimap felt like a natural fit, given Apple’s integral role in his creative process. The contemporary artist is known for his bold pop-art style and vibrant, whimsical characters, blending pop culture with reflections on modern youth and its anxieties through drawing, painting, and digital illustration.
Digimap has also collaborated with other prominent names in the creative industry, including Sebastian Gunawan, Ykha Amelz, and Darbotz.
