Dentsu Singapore's chief strategy officer Preeti Mascarenhas (pictured) has stepped down to pursue an APAC role outside of the agency. She joined the team in January this year and was responsible for leading strategy for key integrated clients and pitches, and solutions development. Mascarenhas told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that dentsu has given her an avenue to peep into the future and explore her thought-leadership skills in sustainability and how brands can make it more real.

She said: "I am truly grateful to be given the opportunity to build an ecosystem of strategic thinking and value in championing force for good and partnerships that can make a difference in the advertising world. I also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with dentsu Singapore and APAC teams and to make more human connections that will stay with me as I move to take on an APAC role outside of dentsu."

In particular, she thanked Prakash Kamdar, CEO, Singapore and Indonesia, dentsu International, for supporting and leading change. The learnings she has gleaned from dentsu will be immensely critical in her growth journey ahead in APAC, she told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. She declined to comment further on her new role.

At the same time, Kamdar thanked Mascarenhas for the many meaningful contributions that she has made to the teams and to dentsu in her role. "Mascarenhas joined dentsu with in-depth experience in building and executing architectural excellence in strategy and brought with her an infectious energy to build new ideas and solutions to solve our clients’ needs," Kamdar said.

He added that she has worked collaboratively with their teams whilst being heavily involved in both Singapore and regional work, delivering positive impact. According to Kamdar, Mascarenhas has also been deeply passionate about championing progress for dentsu Singapore’s commitment to be Force for Good and Growth. Before dentsu, Mascarenhas was formerly head of strategy at Mindshare, based in Mumbai, India; according to her LinkedIn.
