Dentsu Queensland has named Laura Henry as head of strategy, with a focus on creativity, innovation and impact across the agency’s portfolio of clients.

Henry brings more than a decade of strategic experience across agencies and media owners. Most recently, she was head of Create at OMD Australia, where she led the Brisbane-based team driving growth across social and innovation, creative solutions, entertainment partnerships and sport partnerships.

Chris Ernst, dentsu Queensland managing director, said Henry’s experience makes her a strong addition to the leadership team.

“Laura’s strategic flair and her passion for designing innovative media-led solutions makes her a perfect fit for our Queensland team,” Ernst said. “She is cut from the same cloth as our dentsu Queensland team and is a leader who will complement our people, our partners and our client community. I'm excited to work alongside Laura as we activate this next phase of our evolution.”

Henry said she was excited to join at a time of strong momentum.

“I’m thrilled to be joining dentsu Queensland at such an exciting time,” Henry said. “The agency’s momentum, culture and commitment to innovation are truly inspiring. I look forward to collaborating with the talented team and helping shape the next chapter of strategic excellence.”

The appointment follows dentsu Queensland’s recent wins, including the media account for Shine Justice and the retention of The Lottery Corporation in May.

Some of the agency’s clients include Tourism Whitsundays, Good Drinks Australia, Tourism and Events Queensland and the Brisbane Economic Development Agency.
